With 2020 only just underway, 2021 may seem a long way off, but when planning a cruise it’s never too early to start day-dreaming about booking your next adventure – or even booking it now to give you more time looking forward to it! Thankfully the American Queen Steamboat Company has already begun planning a host of great activities for its many fabulous themed-cruises coming in 2021.

Among our most popular themes are those based on the musical legacies of iconic destinations like Memphis or New Orleans. In 2021 the American Duchess and American Countess will be sailing the mighty Mississippi on a host of cruises relating to this rich musical history accompanied by world-class on-board guest artists and house ensembles performing the very best Jazz, Blues, Big Band or Rock n’ Roll melodies of the past and present.

To give you an idea of what you can expect, here is just a brief taste of these immersive musical experiences:

“Elvis Bash”

Sailing from New Orleans to Memphis aboard the American Duchess – 4th January 2021 (7 nights)

See the iconic home of “the King of Rock n’ Roll” himself, the amazing Graceland Mansion on a visit to Memphis, Tennessee, the “Birthplace of Rock and Roll”. Along the way enjoy plenty of exciting fun-filled performances aboard the American Duchess. “Big Band”

Combining the swing of Jazz with the scale of an orchestra, the Big Band era brought with it the Jitterbug and Lindy Hop dance crazes.
